Job summary

The Joseph Gallagher Group is currently recruiting for several Tractor Drivers to join our team in Grays, United Kingdom. You will safely operate articulated or standard tractors with attachments on busy construction sites or industrial areas, handle materials and support ground crews.

Clean driving licence and HGV Class 1 are required, and experience in a construction or civil engineering environment is typically preferred over purely agricultural experience.

Responsibilities

• Machine Operation: Safely operating articulated or standard tractors with attachments on sites.
• Material Handling: Transporting construction materials and rubble under site rules.
• Site Maintenance: Supporting ground crews and performing basic maintenance.
• Daily Checks & Maintenance: Pre-shift checks, cleaning and reporting defects.
• Safety Compliance: Adhering to health and safety protocols and PPE requirements.

We are currently recruiting for several Tractor Drivers to join our team.

• Machine Operation: Safely operating articulated or standard tractors with attachments (e.g., fuel/water bowsers, trailers, spreaders) on busy construction sites or industrial areas.

• Material Handling: Transporting construction materials, rubble, or slurry, often under HGV regulations.

• Site Maintenance: Supporting ground crews, performing grading, or spreading materials with rear-mounted equipment.

• Daily Checks & Maintenance: Conducting pre-shift safety checks, cleaning, and routine maintenance of tractors and attachments, reporting any defects to supervisors.

• Safety Compliance: Adhering to site health and safety protocols, including wearing PPE, monitoring ground conditions, and ensuring safe speed limits.

The successful candidate, must have:

• A33 Agricultural Tractor

• Clean driving license and HGV Class 1

• Experience in a construction or civil engineering environment is typically preferred over purely agricultural experience
