The Job Role Details

As the Agricultural Machinery Operator, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operations of our farm, ensuring efficiency and productivity in all agricultural tasks. This is a varied role that will require you to work with a range of machinery and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate tractors, sprayers, cultivators and harvest machinery for fieldwork, including ploughing, planting, spraying, and harvesting.
  • Maintain accurate records for compliance and audit readiness.
  • Operate and maintain associated farm machinery.
  • Assist with groundwork, weeding, and general fieldwork as required.
  • Support additional operations during peak times, including harvesting and yard work.
  • Assist with the movement and transportation of materials, fresh produce, and equipment around the farm.
  • Carry out general farm duties such as hedge cutting, rolling, and fertilising.
  • Work alongside farm managers and other team members to ensure smooth day-to-day farm operations.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
Ideal Person Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in the agricultural, farming or fresh produce sectors.
  • Experience operating / driving farm machinery.
  • PA1, PA2, PA4 and / or PA6 qualified - desirable.
  • Skilled in the safe and efficient operation of spraying equipment.
  • An understanding of pesticide application, crop protection, and legislative compliance.
  • Forklift trained.
  • A full UK driving license to get to the site, as the farm is remote.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work well within a team environment.
