Job Title: Planned Preventative Maintenance Engineer Mate

Location: 6 Fire Systems, 6 Pirin Court

Job Summary

Reporting to the Senior Supervisor, the Planned Preventative Maintenance Engineer Mate will undertake planned maintenance activities on a wide range of fire systems assets, mainly in the trackside environment. The role involves working on a permanent night shift from Sunday to Thursday, in all weather conditions. You will work as part of a team and independently, ensuring safety at all times. The role requires frequent travel between stations, so a full driver’s license is essential.

Key Deliverables
  1. Completing preventative maintenance tasks on fire systems nightly within the rail environment.
  2. Assisting in delivering daily tasks aligned with business expectations.
  3. Working effectively both as part of a team and independently.
  4. Maintaining health and safety awareness and practices.
  5. Reporting progress regularly to the site supervisor.
  6. Using the ServiceNow platform to complete visit reports.
Responsibilities
  1. Providing accurate site reports on completed activities to the site SPC or line manager.
  2. Completing maintenance tasks according to the schedule.
  3. Ensuring maintenance is performed to the required standards and reporting issues.
  4. Completing administrative tasks promptly.
  5. Complying with relevant QEHS requirements.
  6. Adhering to the Drug & Alcohol policy.
Qualifications / Skills
  1. Knowledge of system maintenance procedures related to fire systems within rail.
  2. Previous experience with fire systems.
  3. Experience working in the LUL or rail environment.
  4. Valid driving license.
  5. Willingness to undergo drug and alcohol testing due to trackside work.
