About Us: Nissan Formula E Team has been a competitive force in motorsport and the FIA Formula E World Championship for many years. We are seeking a Trackside electronics and systems engineer to join our team and contribute to our ongoing development.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure the proper functioning of data acquisition systems, car sensors, and their calibration.
  2. Prepare projects and calibration kits for operating the cars and simulators.
  3. Analyze and interpret technical data from the car, embedded systems, and Power Unit.
  4. Communicate key parameters effectively with stakeholders (mechanics, engineers, track staff).
  5. Guarantee the reliability and performance of onboard and offboard systems.
  6. Prepare documentation and procedures for trackside work.
  7. Draft post-race reports and analyses for continuous improvement; log issues in the ‘problem list’.
  8. Resolve assigned issues.
  9. Develop and maintain programs for data processing to improve vehicle reliability and performance.
  10. Manage data backups on the server.
  11. Plan work on the car considering constraints from mechanics and external participants.
  12. Ensure effective communication with all stakeholders at the track.
  13. Maintain and verify equipment.
  14. Assist DIL simulator sessions within their scope.
  15. Execute procedures during track testing.
  16. Implement and use IT systems (e.g., Atlas, SM, TPMS).
  17. Monitor and utilize the traction battery properly.
  18. Develop products and processes to enhance tasks (e.g., system test benches).
  19. Comply with Formula E regulations and internal policies.
  20. Undergo training and follow safety rules.

Skills and Knowledge Requirements:

  1. Strong understanding of electrical or hybrid systems (batteries, motors).
  2. Proficiency with diagnostic tools and technologies (CAN, control electronics, power electronics, Peak, DSpace).
  3. Programming and IT knowledge (Matlab, Python) is a plus.

Qualifications and Experience:

  1. Background in electronics and/or embedded systems.
  2. Trackside experience in F1, FE, LMDh/LMH, F2, GT, or IndyCar.
  3. Willingness to travel globally for 10-15 race events per year.
  4. Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role.
