Brief Description

Delivery of all on-track machine operations to the required timescales, quality, and specifications.

About the role (External)
Key Accountabilities:
  • Mark up obstructions for tamping/stoneblower operations. Liaise with machine operators and check machine output to ensure high standards of work.
  • Supervise on-track machine operations to deliver optimal output.
  • Mark up design lifts and slues and verify schemes.
  • Check clearances for tamping/stoneblower operations through structures.
  • Plan and conduct site inspections to identify preparatory work for tamping/stoneblower operations, in coordination with Track Section Managers.
  • Direct and supervise staff assisting with on-track machine operations.
  • Maintain records of tamping/stoneblower operations in accordance with procedures, both paper and electronic.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned by the Assistant Track Maintenance Engineer.
