Job summary

GSK is seeking a Trace Analysis and E&L Scientist to join our team in Stevenage. The role focuses on trace analysis of extracts and leachables using LC-MS/GC-MS, with potential involvement in mutagenic and elemental impurity screening. You will work hands-on in a lab, develop methods, and contribute to regulatory submissions.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemistry or a related scientific field.
• Hands-on experience in analytical laboratory settings.
• Experience with GC and/or LC-MS instrumentation and data analysis.
• Experience developing/validating analytical methods and delivering high-quality data.

Responsibilities

• Perform targeted and non-targeted trace analysis of small and large molecules using MS.
• Develop sample preparation approaches and strengthen lab capability.
• Develop, optimize, validate or verify LC-MS and GC-MS methods as required.
• Assess extractables/leachables risk and propose mitigation strategies.
• Lead analytical work from prep to data reporting and project recommendations.
• Support regulatory submissions and oversight of CRO-delivered work packages.
