TRA, Financial Services Senior/Principal Consultant

We are searching for an experienced TRA, Financial Services Senior/Principal Consultant.

Make an Impact at RSM UK

At RSM, our consulting team brings together diverse advisory experts to deliver our six core solutions: business transformation, forensic, deal services, restructuring, finance function support, and risk and governance.

Our solutions address the unique needs, challenges, and opportunities our clients face as they strive to achieve their aspirations and organizational goals. Whether supporting global expansion, developing acquisition strategies, facilitating private equity investments, or collaborating with boards to manage risk and governance, our consulting experts work as one cohesive team. We prioritize simplicity, providing data-driven insights, value-added assurance, and high-quality execution to empower our clients in building sustainable, future-fit businesses.

It’s an exciting time to join our consulting team, as we embark on ambitious growth plans that promise to create diverse career opportunities. We are committed to enhancing our six solutions, expanding and developing our team of expert consultants, embracing a digital-first approach, strengthening our global presence, and building strong client relationships.

We have an opportunity to join TRA as either a Senior or Principal Consultant, depending on experience.

The role involves working as part of a team to deliver quality, on-budget, and timely financial services technology risk assurance and advisory work. You will support the TRA portfolio leads managing engagement delivery and manage a small portfolio of clients to support your career development.

You’ll benefit from ongoing coaching, career mentoring, and the TRA career pathway launched in 2021, providing opportunities to develop skills and undertake relevant qualifications following your CISA certification.

You’ll make an impact by:

  1. Delivering quality TRA audits within budget and timescales
  2. Applying RSM methodology and quality standards in audit work
  3. Building relationships with financial services clients and identifying business development opportunities
  4. Monitoring and reporting on KPIs and MI to meet budget and quality goals and identify improvements
  5. Supporting team development in product and service offerings such as Payments, FCA/PRA regulations, SWIFT, Data Protection, Operational Resilience, and wider regulatory services

What we are looking for:

Are you someone who thrives on variety, loves learning, and enjoys connecting with people? If you can spot inefficiencies and are passionate about improvement, this role is perfect for you! We value diverse experiences and perspectives. Our ideal candidate:

  1. Holds at least one of the following certifications: CISA, CISM, CIPM, CISSP, CCSP, CHECK, CREST, AWS
  2. Has significant IT audit experience within the financial services sector and UK regulatory environment
  3. Can produce quality documentation and reports
  4. Has experience managing multiple clients/assignments
  5. Can travel to clients as needed

What we can offer you:

We recognize our people are our most important assets. We offer a flexible reward and benefits package, including:

  • Hybrid working
  • 26 days holiday
  • Lifestyle, health, and wellbeing benefits, including financial tools, electric car scheme, and virtual GP access
