Job overview

NHS England, working in the Midlands, seeks to recruit a Training Programme Director (TPD) for Emergency Medicine - ST3 North on a part-time secondment basis.

The role supports the Head of School in leading various functions aligned with the NHS England mandate.

Note: A flat rate of £10,000 per PA, per year (or pro rata) will be paid to a Trust for successful candidates. This is a contribution towards costs and not part of the individual's pay.

Main duties of the job

The TPD is professionally and managerially accountable to the Head of School. The role focuses on improving learner supervision, assessment, engagement of faculty, and educational outcomes, including workforce transformation and multi-professional links.

Supporting the Postgraduate Dean, TPDs work across health and social care sectors to deliver integrated education reflecting evolving service models, covering the whole Midlands region.

This is a secondment role; successful candidates must secure written employer approval for release from clinical duties.

Colleagues with a contractual office base are expected to spend at least 40% of their time working in person.

Qualifications and Training
