Turner Lovell are recruiting a TP137/SR163 Civil Site Manager, experienced working on projects from inception through to completion. The role is to lead on behalf of a key contractor for an extension of an existing substation for a BESS project.

The ideal candidate will be able to work independently on high-profile schemes, drive safety standards, provide leadership to internal resources, and demonstrate excellent communication skills to all key stakeholders.

Duties:
  1. Acting as the Principal Site Manager for the project.
  2. Management of site workers, subcontractors, and all general works on-site.
  3. Ensuring Safety documentation (Construction Phase plans, QA plans - ITP's and Risk Assessments / Method Statements) are developed and enacted on site.
  4. Manage and provide QC inspection of subcontractors during different phases of the project.
  5. Provide support to senior Project Managers to monitor, track, and report progress of the team against project programme and budget.
Requirements:
  1. Current authorisation to Grid TP 137.11 / SR163.
  2. NSI, HSG47, 3-day first aid tickets and temporary works.
  3. At least 3 years experience in the construction of substations (or existing substation refurbishment/extension experience) up to 400kV and minimum 1-year experience as TP137/SR163.
  4. Experience working as a TP137 site manager on projects with a civils value >£10-15m or an overall value of at least £40m.
  5. Hands on experience with construction methodologies.
  6. Knowledge of NEC contracts & Health, Safety and Environment legislation.
