Job summary

TAGGED RESOURCES in Manchester is seeking an Assistant Buyer to support the Buying team from concept through to production and shipment to retail customers. You will coordinate orders, manage critical paths, and work closely with Design, Sales and QA to bring toy ranges to market.

You will help source and develop ranges with suppliers, monitor market trends, and ensure on-time deliveries while maintaining margins. There is an option to work from home one day per week in line with business needs.

Responsibilities

• Order Book Management: manage critical path, purchase orders, track status, resolve delivery discrepancies, assist with late shipments, weekly reporting, customer order communication
• Buying Duties: raise POs, log POs, create artwork briefs, shipping marks, manage artwork, maintain range plans, chase critical path, check pre-production samples, QA approvals, sample management, samples delivery
• Financial Support: understand invoices and packing lists, meet shipment dates impact on intake
• Supplier Management: assist with supplier relations and performance evaluations, address non-compliance or delays
• Team Collaboration: support high-performing buying team, cross-functional collaboration with operations, finance, marketing, design, drive leaner processes and dev of trends with QA
