The Opportunity:

We're seeking an experienced Toxicologist/Senior Toxicologist to join our expert team. In this flexible, permanent role, you’ll play a key part in managing scientific and regulatory aspects for chemical, petrochemical, and agrochemical clients. While remote working is supported, visits to our South Oxfordshire (UK) or Brussels (Belgium) offices and client sites may be required.

Your Responsibilities:

• Assess health hazards, perform risk assessments, and develop regulatory strategies.
• Communicate scientific findings clearly to clients, regulators, and industry groups.
• Design, monitor, and interpret toxicological studies with CROs.
• Prepare robust study summaries, read-across justifications, and regulatory dossiers (IUCLID, Chesar).
• Manage projects, budgets, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Contribute to the enhancement of our product stewardship tool, Active Steward.
• Represent Penman Consulting externally and support business development activities.

What We’re Looking For:

• Scientific degree (toxicology, biology, life sciences) with 5+ years' relevant experience.
• Strong background in toxicology and EU chemical regulations (REACH).
• Skilled communicator, confident presenter, and proactive collaborator.
• Experience in project management; chemistry knowledge is a plus.
• Fluent in English; additional EU languages are a bonus.
