Job summary

Mercor is seeking a Forensic / Toxicological Chemist for a remote, hourly-contract role. The position focuses on drafting and evaluating prompts in chemistry and chemical safety, with emphasis on accurate technical reasoning and policy-aligned model evaluation.

The ideal candidate has strong experience in forensic toxicology or related casework, ability to work asynchronously, and a track record of precise technical writing and expert analysis.

Qualifications

• Experience in controlled substance casework in a forensic laboratory.
• Background in clandestine laboratory response and precursor identification.
• Expertise in forensic toxicology, postmortem, or human performance casework.
• Experience in seized-drug and precursor trend monitoring or intelligence analysis.
• Strong technical writing, published research, or expert witness experience.
