The Opportunity

We are seeking a professional, ambitious, and proactive Planner or Assistant Planner to join this vibrant planning team.

You will work on a broad range of projects across multiple sectors, handling planning tasks from initial appraisal and proposals to application submissions, appeals, and inquiries. With a strong commercial mindset and client-focused approach, you will have the chance to lead projects and develop your client base, supported by a team committed to professional development.

Key Responsibilities

1. Prepare and submit planning applications and appeals across various sectors.
2. Respond to planning inquiries and provide planning policy advice.
3. Develop relationships with clients and external consultants.
4. Support the growth of the business through high-quality service and professionalism.
5. Contribute to multidisciplinary projects within the consultancy.
6. Manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently.

About You

• MRTPI chartered (or working towards chartership).
• Strong technical knowledge of UK planning legislation, procedures, and practice.
• Experience in preparing and submitting planning applications and appeals.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Commercial awareness and ambition to grow your client base.
• A proactive, problem-solving attitude with a 'can-do' approach.
