Planner or Senior Planner
Location: Preston

About the Role

As a Planner or Senior Planner, you'll work across multidisciplinary teams on diverse and exciting projects for public and private sector clients. From private landowners and local businesses to developers and public sector bodies, the client portfolio offers incredible variety and growth opportunities.

You'll deliver tailored advice and guidance on planning matters across multiple sectors, working with solicitors, architects, accountants, and other property professionals to help shape impactful developments.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Managing all stages of planning work, including preparing and submitting proposals, applications, appeals, and inquiries.
  • Conducting appraisals, providing planning policy advice, and responding to planning enquiries.
  • Taking ownership of projects, managing budgets, and developing client relationships.
  • Supporting clients with reliable, up-to-date knowledge of UK planning methods, legislation, and procedures.

About You

To thrive in this role, you should be:
  • MRTPI Chartered (or actively working towards chartership).
  • Experienced in preparing and submitting planning applications.
  • Confident in managing varied and concurrent projects with a proactive, "can-do" attitude.
  • A strong communicator with the ability to collaborate effectively within multi-skilled teams and with external stakeholders.
  • Commercially minded with a passion for delivering client-focused solutions.
