Planner / Senior Planner Job in Leeds, Yorkshire

New opening for a Planner or Senior Planner Job with an Architectural and Planning Consultancy based in Leeds, Yorkshire. As an experienced Planner, you'll join a team of like-minded professionals offering services across architectural and planning matters. The role benefits from a diverse workload across various sectors, including industrial, logistics, commercial, residential, greenbelt sites, and conversion projects. You'll enjoy a balance of autonomy while receiving support from the wider team, with opportunities for growth and development.

Role & Responsibilities
  • Preparation and assistance with fee proposals and tenders
  • Site visits and client/public meetings
  • Site promotion through the Local Plan system (representation, hearing statements, and advocacy reports)
  • Conduct research and carry out planning appraisals to assess site development potential
  • Assist with preparation, submission and management of applications and appeals
  • Provide advice to relevant stakeholders through verbal discussions and reports and written communication.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Degree qualified in Town Planning or similar
  • Chartered membership or working towards
  • Proven experience working in a similar position with a consultancy or local authority
  • Research skills and experience undertaking planning appraisals for sites with development potential
  • Full UK Driving Licence and access to a car.

  • Salary of £30,000 - £33,000 for Planner level or up to £45,000 for Senior Planner
