Job description

LNT Care Developments is the UK's leading purpose-built residential care home developer. With over 30 years of experience and innovation in the sector, our vertically integrated model has allowed us to evolve and perfect our care home designs.

LNT Construction Limited, part of LNT Care Developments, is now seeking a Town Planner, with experience, to join a reputable and thriving Planning Team. It’s a great opportunity to join this close-knit, well-respected and successful team.

Based in Garforth, East Leeds, you will already have some experience working as a Town Planner, in either a private or public sector setting - and be suitably qualified from an academic perspective.

About the role:

The position will involve managing planning project work in-house, as part of the team. This will involve initial site appraisals and evaluation; preparation of written reports and statements and submission of all planning application documentation.

It will also involve meeting and negotiating with Planning Officers and any/all parties involved in the planning application processes and being involved in Planning Committee and Appeal situations, as required.

As a result, you will need to be able to take ownership of projects - some planning experience within local authority or private sector is therefore necessary.

About you:
  • Experience in a Planning role of no less than 2 years
  • High standards of written and verbal communication
  • Ambitious, self-motivated but also a genuine team player
  • A keen interest in the full land and planning process
  • Full UK driving licence

Salary: Dependent on experience and with potential to progress.
