We are looking for a Consultant level Town Planner with at least two years of relevant experience to support our growing team in the South West region, assisting in delivering major infrastructure and development projects.

Your purpose:

  • Act as Planning Support on various projects across different markets and sectors.
  • Potentially undertake secondment roles with client organizations.
  • Assist in bidding and tendering for new opportunities.
  • Collaborate closely with Planning Team Leaders and senior colleagues.
  • Work within a dynamic multi-disciplinary environment alongside environmental, engineering, and design professionals both in the UK and internationally.
  • Support the development of graduates within the Planning and Environmental Practice.

What you can bring:

  • A relevant Planning degree; RTPI membership is desirable.
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic, determined, and resilient.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines. Capable of handling multiple assignments within budget.
  • Understanding of TCPA, DCO, TWAO, or equivalent applications, and the Environmental Impact Assessment process.
  • Ability to work well in multi-disciplinary teams and contribute effectively across various projects, consenting, and strategic planning in different locations.
  • Ability to prepare accurate, high-standard reports and deliver presentations to clients.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to discuss planning issues rationally.
  • Flexibility in applying knowledge to a variety of planning-related tasks.
  • Ability to develop and maintain client relationships.
