Are you a talented Town Planner with a passion for shaping vibrant communities and delivering sustainable development projects? Are you looking to take the next step in your career with a leading multidisciplinary consultancy? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!

Our client, a prestigious multidisciplinary consultancy, is currently seeking a motivated Town Planner to join their dynamic team in the bustling city of Bristol. With a minimum of 18 months experience in the public or private sector, you will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects and collaborate with experts across various disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Planning Applications: Prepare and submit planning applications, appeals, and other planning documents, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and regulations.
  2. Client Liaison: Build strong relationships with clients, local authorities, stakeholders, and other professionals to facilitate effective communication and project delivery.
  3. Site Appraisals: Conduct site appraisals, assessments, and feasibility studies to inform development proposals and strategic planning initiatives.
  4. Policy Advice: Provide expert advice and guidance on planning policy, regulations, and procedures to clients and colleagues, contributing to the development of planning strategies and solutions.
  5. Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with colleagues from various disciplines, including architects, engineers, and environmental specialists, to deliver integrated planning solutions.
Requirements:
  1. Minimum of 18 months' experience in a planning role within the public or private sector.
  2. Relevant degree in Town Planning or a related discipline.
  3. Strong understanding of UK planning legislation, policies, and procedures.
  4. Excellent communication, negotiation, and report-writing skills.
  5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  6. Full or Associate membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) desirable but not essential.
