As Town Centre Manager for Brackley and Towcester, you’ll be the driving force behind initiatives that enhance the vitality, appeal, and economic prosperity of both town centres. Working closely with local councils, businesses, community groups, and residents, you’ll champion improvements that make each town a vibrant destination for shopping, leisure, and community life.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Building strong partnerships with local stakeholders to support town centre priorities

  • Developing and delivering promotional campaigns, events, and initiatives to increase footfall

  • Gathering and analysing data to inform decision-making and measure impact

  • Supporting independent businesses and fostering a thriving retail and hospitality environment

  • Working on town centre beautification, signage, and wayfinding projects

  • Acting as a spokesperson for the towns’ economic and cultural development

This is a dynamic and highly visible role that requires strategic thinking, creativity, and exceptional relationship-building skills. If you're passionate about place-making and love seeing towns flourish, Brackley and Towcester are ready for your vision.

What will you be doing?

As Town Centre Manager for Brackley and Towcester, you'll play a central role in shaping the future of both towns by delivering real, visible impact on the ground. Your day-to-day will be varied and energetic, focused on improving footfall, supporting local enterprises, and strengthening each town’s appeal.

Here’s what you’ll be diving into:

  • Leading engagement with local traders, residents, and partners to understand priorities and gather feedback

  • Planning and delivering town centre events and seasonal campaigns that boost community spirit and visitor numbers

  • Promoting the towns through digital platforms and media outreach, showcasing their unique charm and offerings

  • Monitoring footfall trends and business performance, using data to inform strategy and future investment

  • Supporting new and existing businesses, providing resources and coordinating initiatives to help them thrive

  • Enhancing public spaces through signage improvements, cleanliness initiatives, and aesthetic upgrades

Your influence will stretch from morning meetings with stakeholders to on-the-ground activity that keeps both town centres thriving and welcoming. You’ll be the connector, the innovator, and the advocate for vibrant community hubs.

What sets you apart:

  • You’re a creative problem-solver, brimming with ideas to make town centres more vibrant and engaging

  • You have excellent communication and networking skills, easily forging strong relationships with traders, community leaders, and council partners

  • You’re data-savvy and results-driven, knowing how to measure success and use insight to guide future plans

  • You’re proactive and organised, capable of juggling multiple initiatives across two distinct towns

  • Above all, you care deeply about community—supporting local enterprise, enhancing public spaces, and celebrating the unique spirit of Brackley and Towcester
