If you thrive in managing planning applications, advising on policy, and driving projects through to approval, this is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Strategic Planning: Lead and contribute to the development of effective planning strategies for a wide range of urban and rural projects.
  • Planning Applications: Prepare, manage, and submit residential planning applications, ensuring compliance with local and national policy.
  • Policy Guidance: Provide clear, expert advice to colleagues, clients, and stakeholders, keeping up to date with legislation and regulatory changes.
  • Appeals Management: Take ownership of planning appeals, preparing documentation, representing proposals, and liaising with legal advisors when required.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with local planning authorities, statutory consultees, and community stakeholders to support project success.
  • Representation: Confidently represent projects at planning committee meetings, public consultations, and other forums.
About You
  • Degree in Town Planning or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in a similar planning role.
  • Proven track record of working with residential planning applications.
  • Strong knowledge of UK planning policy and legislation.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and negotiation skills.
  • Confident in representing clients/projects in both formal and public settings.
  • RTPI membership (or working towards it) is desirable.
