Job summary

Nottingham Playhouse Trust Ltd seeks a skilled Tech Swing for the 2027 remount and UK & Ireland tour of James Graham’s PUNCH. The role centers on supporting Stage Management, Sound and Lighting at the home venue and on tour, with a focus on backstage operations and hands-on technical tasks.

The ideal candidate has a strong theatre background, touring experience, and deep knowledge of current theatre practices. Flexibility for evenings and weekends and a collaborative approach are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in technical production and lighting in theatre environments.
• Experience with touring productions and recreating lighting designs for multiple venues.
• Strong communication and collaboration across departments.

Responsibilities

• Support get-ins and get-outs for the show and tour.
• Provide backstage and operational support across sound, lighting, and stage management.
• Learn running and maintenance plots for sound, lighting, and stage management.
• Offer general technical cover and adapt to touring schedule.
