Job summary

Nottingham Playhouse is seeking a skilled Board Operator and Relighter to join the Production Department for the 2027 remount and UK & Ireland tour of PUNCH. You will join before technical rehearsals and lead the touring lighting team, working with the Lighting Designer and Production Electrician to deliver a cohesive design across venues.

The role features evening and performance-based hours, with a 48-hour weekly buyout, and a fixed-term contract from January 13 to April 2027.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a lighting department in a producing theatre.
• Proven track record recreating lighting designs across multiple venues on tour.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Operate the lighting board for performances.
• Recreate lighting design at each venue during tour.
• Maintain LX equipment and show paperwork.
• Lead the touring lighting team and ensure creative continuity.
