Shore Excursion Associate (Cruise) – Working on a Cruise/ TRAVELLING JOB

OPEN TO ALL NATIONALS

We are recruiting on behalf of a major cruise company who are looking for Shore Excursion Associates to join with them. This is an opportunity to join a reputable organisation who are offering excellent benefits and career opportunities.

Shore Excursions Associates are integral parts of our guest’s vacation experience. Shore Excursions Associates support the Shore Excursion Manager to maximize revenues by marketing, promoting, explaining and selling tours to guests, along with ability of converting guest interactions into an excursion sale.

As Shore Excursion Associate you are expected to:
  1. Execute tactical plans to achieve revenue and sales targets
  2. Liaise with Operations and Revenue Team to maximise revenue
  3. Employ effective marketing strategies
  4. Promote, explain, and sell tours to guests before they go ashore
  5. Partake in, and monitor the Shore Excursion Program
  6. Handle guest complaints and queries
  7. Achieve Guest Satisfaction Targets (TGEM)
  8. Promote and process Carnival MasterCard applications
  9. Maintain professional working relationships with Tour Operators
  10. Assist with the dispatch of all shore excursions, Pier and Lounge dispatch
  11. Participate in all safety drills and trainings as required
  12. Follow all environmental and ECP policies and procedures.
Position Requirements
  1. Experience of the Hospitality Industry (2 years min), either Hotels, Tour Operators or Cruise Lines
  2. Excellent command of the English language, both verbal and written. Additional languages are a plus.
  3. Experience and competence in Sales
  4. Understanding of marketing and promotion methods
  5. Understanding of revenue, analytics and ability to interpret ships revenue targets and performance.
  6. High level of computer skills including Microsoft packages
  7. A good understanding of revenue responsibility
  8. Driver's licence preferred
  9. Ability to swim and partake in adventure activities.
  10. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  11. Approachable and a good listener
