Job summary

EDF Trading is seeking a Total Reward specialist to join our London HR team. You will design and deliver global reward programmes, model salary ranges, benchmark markets and manage benefits. You will work with stakeholders across markets to drive compensation decisions.

You will leverage Workday, BI tools and benchmarking surveys to improve processes, ensure pay equity and deliver analytics for senior leadership. This hybrid role offers global collaboration and visible impact.

Qualifications

  • Experience in reward, compensation, and people analytics.
  • Experience with HR systems and data, including Workday.
  • Experience of supporting reward activities such as salary reviews, benchmarking, incentive plans or benefits administration.
  • Experience within financial services, commodities, trading or investment banking environments is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Job Description

The HR team are based in both London and Houston and provide a full range of HR support to all EDF Trading’s offices. We are a collaborative and dynamic team that embrace the EDF Trading culture of working hard whilst embracing and enjoying the challenges of our roles.

Position purpose

To support the development, implementation and continuous evolution of the Company's Total Reward strategy, ensuring we attract, retain and motivate the talent needed to deliver our business objectives. Working closely with the Reward, Systems and Data and wider HR teams, you will play a key role in the design, delivery and administration of reward programmes, annual compensation activities, market benchmarking and benefits initiatives. You will provide insight, advice and guidance to HR colleagues, managers and business stakeholders on reward-related matters and support the successful delivery of reward and HR projects globally. Alongside reward delivery, you will leverage data, systems and analytics to inform decision-making, improve processes and enhance the employee experience. You will be encouraged to challenge existing ways of working, identify opportunities for simplification and automation, and contribute to the continuous improvement of reward and HR processes.

Main responsibilities

Provide advice and guidance to HR colleagues, managers and business stakeholders on reward policies, processes and market practice. Play a key role in the delivery of annual reward activities, including modelling salary ranges, review budgets, bonus outcomes and scenarios. Assessing affordability, distribution and employee impact. Preparing decision materials for senior stakeholder. Conduct market benchmarking and analyse external reward data to support informed reward decisions and recommendations. Maintain global job catalogue, associated salary ranges/attributes and employee job profile matching. Support workforce planning and budgeting activities by providing analysis and insights on headcount, organisational structures, workforce costs, market trends and reward data. Assist in the review and development of Total Reward policies, frameworks and programmes. Ensure reward data is accurate, reliable and supports effective decision-making. Review/approve Workday transactions in line with internal compensation processes and policies. Supporting equal pay and pay equity analysis. Supporting benefit renewals and vendor data analysis. Reviewing participation, cost, utilisation and market competitiveness.

Analytics & Continuous Improvement

Develop, maintain and enhance reward and people analytics, management information and reporting for stakeholders across the business. Leverage Workday and other technologies to deliver meaningful insights, support data-driven decision-making and improve reporting capabilities. Proactively identify opportunities to simplify, standardise and improve reward and HR processes through automation, self-service and technology solutions. Support global HR and reward projects, contributing analysis, testing, process design and implementation activities. Build effective relationships across HR, Finance, the wider business, and external partners to deliver successful outcomes and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Take ownership of initiatives, working independently and collaboratively to deliver results and improve the employee and stakeholder experience.

Experience required

Experience in reward, compensation, and people analytics. Strong analytical skills with experience turning data into actionable insights and recommendations. Proven experience producing accurate, high-quality management information and reporting. Experience working with HR systems and data, including Workday. Experience of supporting reward activities such as salary reviews, benchmarking, incentive plans or benefits administration is desirable. Experience within financial services, commodities, trading or investment banking environments is advantageous. Exposure to broader HR processes and practices would be beneficial.

Technical requirements

Advanced IT skills (including MS Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, SAP reporting and Workday) – must be able to write complex formulas using if statements, x/vlookups, etc and develop comprehensive Excel workbook analysis, using "what if scenarios", pivot tables and graphs. Experience using reporting, analytics or visualisation tools such as Workday Reporting, Power BI or similar. Comfortable working with large datasets and ensuring data accuracy and integrity. Experience using salary benchmarking tools such as McLagan or comparable surveys is desirable.
