Orkney Islands Council in Kirkwall is seeking a Toothbrushing Supervisor at Glaitness Primary School to work 6 hours per week during term time. The role involves organising and supervising children brushing their teeth as part of the NHS Orkney Childsmile Toothbrushing Programme; you will encourage good habits and work closely with the NHS Orkney Oral Health Team.

£29,909 - £30,237 pro rata

£15.50 - £15.67 per hour

The above amounts include Distant Islands Allowance.

You will be reporting to the Head Teacher.

Your working pattern is Monday to Friday. We are happy to talk flexible working, where possible.

We are looking for enthusiastic, adaptable people with good communication skills to join our committed staff team.

The post will involve organising and supervising children brushing their teeth as part of the NHS Orkney Childsmile Toothbrushing Programme. You will work on your own supervising children brushing their teeth, but you will have regular contact with the NHS Orkney Oral Health Team. While your role is not to brush children's teeth you will be there to encourage the children to brush their teeth well and develop this important lifetime habit.

This post is a regulated role with children and requires Level 2 Disclosure with PVG Scheme membership in respect of regulated work with children.
