Job summary

Elite Hire Solutions in Cannock is partnering with an established M&E contractor to recruit a Junior Mechanical Estimator. If you come from plumbing or mechanical installation and want to move off the tools into pricing and tendering, this is for you.

You'll learn to price tenders for mechanical building services, review drawings and specifications, obtain quotes, and support submissions while developing your knowledge with senior estimating and commercial teams.

Qualifications

• Background in plumbing or mechanical installation with interest in moving into estimating.
• Comfort with numbers and drawings; ability to learn on the job.
• Willingness to develop knowledge of mechanical building services and estimating.

Responsibilities

• Assist with mechanical estimates and tenders.
• Review drawings, specifications and schedules.
• Price labour, materials and subcontract packages.
• Assist with take-offs and quantities; obtain supplier quotations.
• Support the preparation of tender submissions and liaise with suppliers, subcontractors and clients.
• Develop knowledge of mechanical building services and estimating with senior teams.
