Job summary

University of Bristol is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Toolroom/Workshop Machinist based in the Queens Mechanical Workshop within the Faculty of Science & Engineering. You will manufacture bespoke designs in a toolroom environment, supporting academics, postgraduates and students with specialist machining and teaching support.

Responsibilities include toolroom machining (CNC milling, turning, EDM, lathes, grinding, laser cutting), providing classroom-based teaching assistance, and

• Apprentice-served tool room machinist.
• Knowledge of CAD systems incl Siemens, Fanuc and Autodesk Fusion.

A fantastic opportunity has a risen for an enthusiastic and experienced Toolroom/Workshop Machinist based in the University of Bristol, Faculty of Science & Engineering Queens Mechanical Workshop.

Manufacturing of bespoke designs, working in a toolroom environment with other highly skilled toolmakers. Providing specialist support to academics, Postgraduates and students across the faculty of Science and Engineering. Providing teaching support using the background knowledge of apprenticeships, to aid in the use of pillar drills and other equipment.
