Job description

Hales Group is recruiting for a Toolmaker/Machinist on behalf of our client based in Norfolk.

This part-time position has become available due to retirement and offers a great opportunity to join a well-established engineering team. You ll be working with a variety of manual machines, contributing to high-quality production in a supportive and safety-conscious environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate manual machines including Milling Machines, Centre Lathes, Surface Grinders, and Cylindrical Grinders
  • Support with electrical discharge machining (EDM) training can be provided
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings accurately
  • Use inspection equipment to ensure precision and quality
  • Follow all safety protocols and contribute to a clean, efficient workshop
  • Work collaboratively with the team and maintain a professional approach
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Proven experience in manual machining
  • Good understanding of engineering drawings and inspection tools
  • Knowledge of EDM is an advantage (training available)
  • Strong awareness of health and safety procedures
  • Team player with excellent communication skills
