Falkland Engineering is seeking an apprentice toolmaker to join their team. Falkland is a family-run limited company providing engineering subcontract services for industries such as Automotive, Aerospace, and White Goods. The role involves designing and manufacturing press tools, jigs, fixtures, and special-purpose equipment.
Wage
£14,526.20 for the first year, with potential increases depending on age. This aligns with the National Minimum Wage rate for apprentices.
Hours
8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Thursday; 8:00 am to 1:00 pm, Friday. Total of 37 hours per week.
Duration
3 years and 6 months, starting from Monday 8 September 2025.
The apprenticeship is primarily hands-on, with on-the-job training.
You will use 3D and 2D CNC milling machines to produce tooling, including manual milling, pitching, boring, and turning. You will also learn fitting, assembly, drilling, welding, and surface grinding skills.

Enrolled on the Machining Technician Level 3 apprenticeship, including day and block release at Burnley College.
GCSE Math (grade 4 or above). Relevant qualifications and experience can be considered for adjustments.
