Eaton Group in Worksop is seeking a Tool Maker to join a small tooling team responsible for repair, maintenance and examination of all injection mould and metal press tooling. You will fault-find, repair and modify tooling, translate CAD drawings and operate approved equipment to deliver output to quality standards.

Requirements include a formal engineering qualification, a recognised apprenticeship, knowledge of abrasive wheels regulations and Health and Safety at work, plus the ability to work

What you'll do:

As a Tool Maker you will be part of a small team responsible for the repair, maintenance and examination of all types of injection mould and metal press tooling.

• Carry out all fault finding, tool repair, corrections and modification. Ensuring tasks and output is to acceptable standards in accordance with Company Quality Policy and Procedures.


• Translation of CAD drawings in order to complete required tooling tasks.


• Operate equipment and machinery for which they are authorised.


• General housekeeping of the department


• Ensure that lean manufacturing standards (5S+,documentation standards, standardised working methods, etc.) are observed and sustained.


• Liaise with other departments/functions ensuring good Team collaboration


• Observe and adopt safe working practices in accordance with Company health and safety policy, whist adhering to the Eaton Life Saving Rules.


• Undertake training necessary for development as agreed with the Tool Room Team Leader


• Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives

Qualifications:

• Formal engineering qualification.
