Overview

Job Title: Injection Mould Toolmaker

Location: Stevenage

Salary: Competitive, based on experience

Job Type: Full-time | 41.5 hours per week

Schedule: Monday to Friday | Overtime available

With state-of-the-art equipment including Hurco machining centres, Sodick wire and spark eroders, and Jones & Shipman grinders, this is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Toolmaker to thrive in a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manufacture and modify injection mould tools to high precision standards
  • Operate manual milling machines, lathes, and surface/cylindrical grinders
  • Use manual and CNC spark eroders and CNC wire eroders
  • Fit and assemble new injection mould tools
  • Modify and repair existing tools
  • Wire hot runner systems and perform fault finding
  • Interpret technical drawings and work to tight tolerances
  • Use hand tools such as files, hacksaws, and grinders
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient working environment
Required Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience in injection mould toolmaking
  • Skilled in manual and CNC machining, milling, grinding, and fitting
  • Strong understanding of complex mould tool assembly and repair
  • Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines without compromising quality
  • Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
  • Experience with hot runner systems is highly desirable
