Job summary

Advanced Resource Managers is seeking a skilled Toolmaker/Inspection Engineer to join the Calibration Department in London. You will calibrate, inspect and test tools and measuring equipment to ensure accuracy and compliance, supporting both internal teams and external customers.

Key responsibilities include maintaining calibration records, interpreting technical specifications, and identifying equipment needing adjustment or repair.

Toolmaker/Inspection Engineer

Location: Lillie Bridge, London

Pay Rate: £35.13 per hour (Umbrella rate, Inside IR35)

Contract: 6 months rolling

Start Date: ASAP

The Role

We are looking for a skilled Toolmaker/Inspection Engineer to join an expanding Calibration Department within Asset Performance Delivery (APD).

You will be responsible for inspecting, testing and calibrating tools and equipment to ensure accuracy, compliance and adherence to required engineering standards. The role will support both internal operational teams and external commercial customers.

• Calibrate, inspect and test tools and measuring equipment.
• Verify measurements against required specifications and tolerances.

• Support internal teams with calibration requirements.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in tool calibration or engineering measurement.
• Background in toolmaking, machining, precision engineering or inspection.
• Experience using precision measuring instruments and working to engineering tolerances.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications and ensure equipment accuracy.
• Experience within an engineering, manufacturing or maintenance environment.

Desirable

• Calibration or metrology qualifications.
• Experience within rail, manufacturing or engineering.
• Inspection or quality assurance experience.
• Apprenticeship in Toolmaking, Machining or Mechanical Engineering.
