About the Role: looking for a skilled Tool Maker to join our Plastics Division, working on precision tooling for plastic injection moulding. This is a hands-on role ideal for a problem solver who takes pride in producing high-quality tooling that keeps production running smoothly. You'll be part of a small, close-knit team, helping maintain, repair, and improve injection moulding tooling, jigs, and fixtures, while supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the division.

Responsibilities
  • Repair, modify, and improve plastic injection moulds, jigs, and fixtures to drawing specifications.
  • Complete insert changes and support production teams with tooling requirements.
  • Collaborate with tool setters and other colleagues to resolve tooling concerns.
  • Operate conventional toolroom machinery including lathes, milling machines, and surface grinders.
  • Produce tooling and fixtures to exacting tolerances.
  • Provide engineering solutions to enhance moulding and assembly processes.
  • Support continuous improvement activities and maintain a tidy, safe toolroom environment.
Qualifications
  • Proven toolroom or machine shop experience (essential).
  • Skilled in operating conventional machinery; experience with CNC, spark erosion, or CAD/CAM is an advantage.
  • Experience with plastic injection moulding tooling desirable.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on precision and quality.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight tolerances.
