Yolk Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Toolmaker to join a precision engineering team on site in Burnham-on-Sea. You will manufacture, refurbish and improve tooling, interpreting drawings to tight tolerances and supporting new product developments.

This role operates a rotating two-shift pattern with ongoing training, a final pension and development opportunities within a stable manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Apprentice-trained or equivalent engineering background.
• Experience producing precision tooling to demanding tolerances.
• Proven Toolmaker or Toolroom Engineering experience.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture new tooling and tooling components from engineering drawings.
• Refurbish, modify and improve existing tooling.
• Work on tooling projects supporting new products and manufacturing developments.
• Provide practical engineering solutions to manufacturing challenges.
• Contribute to tooling innovation, process improvement and operational efficiency.

Would you enjoy a Toolmaker role where you're not just repairing tooling but helping develop new tooling solutions and improve manufacturing processes?

Yolk Recruitment is recruiting for an experienced Toolmaker to join a growing engineering team within a precision manufacturing environment.

This role offers a varied workload, combining precision tool manufacture, refurbishment, tooling improvements and engineering support. You'll work closely with Production, Product Engineering and Manufacturing teams to ensure tooling meets the demands of a fast-moving manufacturing operation.

This is what you'll be doing

• Manufacture new tooling and tooling components from engineering drawings
• Refurbish, modify and improve existing tooling
• Work on tooling projects supporting new products and manufacturing developments
• Provide practical engineering solutions to manufacturing challenges
• Contribute to tooling innovation, process improvement and operational efficiency

The experience you'll bring to the team

• Proven Toolmaker or Toolroom Engineering experience
• Strong manual and CNC machining capability
• Experience producing precision tooling to demanding tolerances
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

There's also some must haves

• Apprentice-trained or equivalent engineering background
• Milling and turning experience
• Ability to work a rotating two-shift pattern
