Job description

Overview

Toolmaker required to join a well-established manufacturing company that is based in the Arbroath area. The successful candidate will have a broad engineering background and ideally have specialist skills & experience in a high-volume Stamping, and running high speed tooling.

Responsibilities

• Perform assembly and debugging of press tools.
• Perform servicing and repair of tools to support production needs to support on time deliveries.
• Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting of existing tools to support production.
• Provide technical support to production line to achieve technical & quality requirements.
• Operate various tool room machining equipment (like surface grinding, milling, drilling).
• Verify dimensions, alignments, and clearance of finished parts, using measuring instruments, such as calipers, gauge blocks, micrometers, and dial indicators.

Requirements

• Previous experience within a toolmaker or manual machining position (or similar).
• Experience in High speed Bruderer presses is very advantageous.
• Must live within a commutable distance of Arbroath.
• Must be able to do two-week rotation of 2 weeks days/2 weeks nights.

Salary & Benefits

• Full time - Permanent position
• Monday to Friday - two-week rotation of 2 weeks days/2 weeks nights.
• Salary - £38,000 - £40,000 + night shifts carry a 33% shift premium
