Job summary

Oscar & Harvey Limited in Mansfield Woodhouse seeks an experienced tooling engineer to join a growing team focused on plastic injection mould tools. You will be hands-on with tooling manufacture, maintenance, and fault diagnosis, reading engineering drawings to guide fabrication.

The role requires CNC operation and programming with Fanuc/Hurco, use of EDM where needed, and CAM/CAD workflow using Fusion 360, Openmind, or SolidWorks-based tooling. A post-apprenticeship background is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years' post-apprenticeship experience in toolroom or precision engineering.
• Experience with plastic injection mould tools is highly desirable.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture, build and maintain plastic injection mould tools.
• Program and operate CNC machines (Fanuc/Hurco).
• Fit tools, bench, inspect and fault diagnose tooling.
• Work from supplied 3D models to generate machining programs and tooling strategies.
