Job summary

JOBS247 INC LTD in Bristol is seeking a Tooling Engineer to support new product introduction, tooling concepts, development and validation. You will drive layout improvements for production, manage calibration and ensure safety compliance in a fast-paced setting.

Key tasks include maintaining tooling and fixtures for efficiency and quality while tracking government-owned assets. The role demands CAD proficiency and hands-on collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• Understanding CAD and the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Completed a recognised Engineering apprenticeship and hold an NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
• Proven experience in tooling control, preferably in aerospace, automotive or precision engineering.
• Hands-on approach and ability to work cross-functionally in fast-paced environments.

Job description

The Tooling Engineer role centres on supporting new product introduction with tooling concepts, development and validation.

What you'll build and improve

• Support layout improvements within the production environment to enhance workflow, efficiency, and space utilisation
• Oversee calibration control to ensure compliance
• Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety standards
• Track and manage Government owned assets and tooling used within the facility
• As a Tooling Engineer, you will play a critical role in maintaining and improving tooling and fixtures to support production efficiency, quality and safety

What you'll bring

• An understanding of CAD and/or the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• You’ll need a completed a recognised Engineering apprenticeship and hold a relevant NVQ level 3 qualification or equivalent
• You’ll need proven experience in tooling control, preferably within the aerospace, automotive or precision engineering environments
• Hands-on approach and ability to work cross-functionally in fast paced environments
