Tooling Engineer

Job Description

Identify tools and die that require repair and create a report/specification of the required works.

Gather data and collaborate with process experts and the Engineering team.

Update client Tool Follow-up sheets (PDCA) for each tool.

Additionally, you may be required to undertake tool qualification at supplier facilities.

Participate in process maturity and validation process tuning and validation in the plant.

Qualifications

• Mechanical Engineer or equivalent, or a time-served Tooling/Maintenance Engineer.

Essential Skills

• Experience with mechanical and electrical tooling repair, maintenance, and fitting.
• Understanding of large metal presses.
• Expertise in Microsoft Office.
• Expertise in Tooling experience.

Desired Skills

• Experience in an automotive environment.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role.
