Job summary

Rose 360 in Alfreton is recruiting for a Tool Setter / Shift Leader on a permanent, full-time basis. The role involves leading a team in the CNC press cell, setting tools, and ensuring smooth line changeovers.

Shifts are rotating, with early and late slots to cover 6:00am–2:00pm and 2:00pm–10:00pm. We are seeking someone with experience in presses and a proactive, communicative approach to keep production targets met while upholding quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as Tool Setter/Shift Leader in manufacturing.
• Experience carrying out tool changes and line changeovers.
• Ability to lead, motivate and support a small production team.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

TOOL SETTER / SHIFT LEADER

£18.50 PER HOUR

Are you an experienced Tool Setter or Shift Leader looking for your next challenge? If so, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!

We are currently recruiting for a well-established manufacturer in the Alfreton area. They are looking to recruit an Alfons Haar Tool Setter / Shift Leader to join their team on a permanent, full-time basis.

This role is ideal for someone with experience setting presses, leading a small team, and keeping production running efficiently.

Working hours:

• 6:00am – 2:00pm
• 2:00pm – 10:00pm

These shifts rotate weekly.

Your day-to-day duties will include:

• Managing a team of five operators within the CNC press cell.
• Carrying out tool changes and line changeovers.
• Troubleshooting and resolving issues across multiple press machines.
• Leading and supporting the team throughout the shift.
• Ensuring production targets are met while maintaining quality and safety standards.

We believe you would be a great fit if you have:

• Previous experience as a Tool Setter, Press Setter, or Shift Leader within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience carrying out tool changes and line changeovers.
• The ability to lead, motivate, and support a small production team.
• A positive, can-do attitude and excellent communication skills.
