Job summary

Randstad CPE seeks a skilled injection moulding technician for a busy shop floor in Aberbeeg, Wales. You will carry out tool changes (5-8 per day) and adjust process settings to produce quality components, while keeping a safe, clean working environment and completing paperwork.

We require at least 3 years in a similar role with knowledge of automation and troubleshooting. Hours are Mon-Fri 7:30am-5:00pm with overtime and an on-call rota after training; onsite parking is available.

Qualifications

• Competent in process knowledge.
• Have a good understanding of automation and process.
• Used to technical troubleshooting.
• Have at least 3 years experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out mould tool changes as per daily schedule (avg 5-8 tool changes per day).
• Process and adapt conditions to produce quality approved components.
• Complete settings paperwork.
• Use of overhead gantry.
• Use of robots to include six axis robots.
• Responsible for Health and Safety procedures while setting the machines.
• Ensuring and assisting in always maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
• Handling of heavy and expensive tooling.

Hours of work will be Monday - Friday 7:30am - 5.00pm with flexibility to meet demands with overtime paid.

There is an on-call rota after the initial 3-month training - 1 in every 5 weekends and paid even if not called!

You will be working as part of a technical team in a busy and fast paced injection moulding shop floor environment, responsiblr for 16 injection moulding machines .

• Complete settings paperwork
• Use of overhead gantry
• Use of robots to include six axis robots
• Responsible for Health and Safety procedures while setting the machines
• Ensuring and assisting in always maintaining a clean and safe working environment
• Handling of heavy and expensive tooling

You will need to be:
