Hours: Days Monday to Friday 36 hours per week

Highlight: Health scheme, twice a year bonus, over £17/hr, great work environment

What You Will Do:

  • Operate Toolroom equipment to a high standard, ensuring precision and quality in every task.
  • Use a Forklift Truck and Overhead Crane to assist with daily duties and deliver tooling to production (training provided).
  • Manufacture new parts and conduct repairs to support the manufacturing divisions, ensuring timely delivery to meet try-out dates.
  • Address breakdowns promptly to minimise production downtime, contributing to the seamless operation of the facility.
  • Collaborate with contractors and suppliers when additional support is required, including agreeing on timescales and costs.
  • Maintain compliance with Health and Safety legislation, company procedures, and housekeeping standards, ensuring a safe and organised workspace.

What You Will Bring:

  • Hands-on experience in CNC Turning, with Siemens Shopturn control experience being advantageous.
  • CNC Milling and Turning to produce new components and fixtures
  • Proficiency with manual lathe work and general Toolroom machining methods.
  • Repairing piercing and trim tools
  • The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • A positive and proactive attitude, with a willingness to develop new skills and adapt to innovative machining methods.

This role is essential to the continued growth and development of the company. As a Tool Room Operative, you will play a crucial role in supporting the manufacturing divisions, ensuring a "right first time" approach to all work carried out.
