Job summary

CV TECHNICAL LTD in Haydock, Merseyside, is seeking an experienced Tool Maker with strong CNC/CAM programming to join our tooling team. The role focuses on manufacturing, modification, maintenance and repair of thermoforming tools and high-precision components.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on CNC machining skills, experience with Fusion 360 and/or SolidCAM, and the ability to read drawings and CAD models. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Tool Maker in manufacturing/precision engineering.
• Strong CNC programming and machining experience.
• Experience with CAM software, Fusion 360 and/or SolidCAM.
• Knowledge of CNC controls such as Fanuc/Heidenhain.
• Practical experience with milling, turning and surface grinding.
• Ability to interpret drawings and CAD models.
• Experience manufacturing, maintaining and repairing production tooling.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture, modify and repair thermoforming tools and precision components.
• Program, set up and operate CNC machinery to tight tolerances.
• Use CAM software to generate and edit CNC programmes.
• Operate milling machines, lathes and surface grinding equipment.
• Read engineering drawings and CAD models.
• Carry out tooling maintenance and repairs to minimise downtime.
• Support tooling development, trials and improvements.
• Maintain stock of tooling consumables.
