A reputable manufacturing firm in Telford seeks a Tool Maker to join their team. You will maintain and prepare tools, conduct preventative maintenance, and collaborate to enhance tooling processes. The ideal candidate has a Level 3 qualification in a relevant field and solid hands-on experience with tool room equipment. This role offers an excellent salary exceeding £44,000, with good working hours and benefits including a competitive pension and 33 days of holiday.
Large well etsablished manufacturer in Telford seeking Tool Maker to join their team to support production in maintaining tools, JIGs and Die's. Predominantly manual machining, working on a range of tool sizes with some large equipment on site this role will suit tool makers who like problem solving and working with others.
Excellent salary and benefits available working a favourable shift with no weekends or nights.
Shift: double days / 37.5 hours per week
Location: Telford
What You Will Do:
• Maintain and prepare existing tooling to ensure optimal performance and production readiness.
• Identify and resolve tooling issues effectively, implementing corrective actions as required.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on production tooling, adhering to strict schedules and standards.
• Fabricate, fit, and assemble parts using a variety of equipment such as milling machines, lathes, and surface grinders.
• Verify and test tools for proper operation, ensuring they meet exact specifications and quality standards.
• Collaborate with production and quality teams to gather feedback and continuously improve tooling processes.
What You Will Bring:
• Level 3 qualified in mechanical or relevant area
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Hands-on experience with Tool room equipment, including overhead cranes and inspection tools.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks.
• A proven track record in a manufacturing environment, demonstrating your ability to deliver results.
You will have current or recent experience as tool repair technician, tooling engineer, manual machinist or jig, tool and die maintainer
