Qualifications

• Ayant une expérience avec des équipements de formage de métal.
• Capable de lever des charges répétées jusqu'à 50 lbs.
• Démontrer une attitude pro-active et orientée équipe.

Responsibilities

• Préparer des kits d'outils complets pour équipements de formage.
• Suivre, stocker et entretenir tous les outils.
• Inspecter et accepter/rejeter des outils selon spécifications.

We are currently recruiting for a Tool Maker to join a leading manufacturing business based in Corby. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a specialised team, where you'll play a key role in preparing, maintaining, and managing all tooling for a busy metal forming department.

Location: Corby
Shift: Monday - Friday (AM or PM Shift)
Salary: £40 - £50k (Depending on Shift)

Duties:

• Prepare complete tooling kits for metal forming equipment (coiled, slotted, and solid pins)
• Order tools as required, obtaining quotes and approvals
• Inspect and accept/reject tools based on specifications and drawings
• Track, store, and maintain all tools and related documentation
• Submit gauges for calibration and maintain calibration records
• Monitor tool availability to ensure timely set-ups for all scheduled jobs
• Liaise with external vendors to ensure timely delivery of tooling
• Maintain tool drawing binders and ensure accessibility to shop personnel
• Promote good housekeeping and safe working practices at all times
• Contribute to waste reduction and energy-saving initiatives

The ideal candidate must:

• Be a qualified or time-served Tool Maker
• Have experience with tooling for metal forming equipment
• Be able to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
• Have strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Be proficient with basic maths and tooling tracking systems
• Be physically fit and capable of repetitive lifting (up to 50 lbs)
• Demonstrate a proactive, team-oriented attitude
