We are currently recruiting for a Tool Maker to join a specialist kitchen component manufacturer based in Corby. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a dedicated tool room where you'll be involved in the end-to-end creation of plastic injection mould tools, using both CAD and other design software, as well as hands-on machinery, to bring customer specifications to life.

Location: Corby
Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:30pm
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Contract: Permanent

Duties:

• Design and manufacture tooling for plastic injection moulding from scratch
• Interpret customer specifications and produce high-quality technical solutions
• Use CAD and similar software along with workshop machinery to develop tooling in-house
• Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure tool readiness for production
• Maintain a safe and organised working environment
• Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives

The ideal candidate must:

• Be an experienced or time-served Tool Maker
• Have a background in plastic injection moulding (desirable but not essential)
• Be confident using CAD and other relevant design software, plus manual machining equipment
• Be able to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Take pride in precision, craftsmanship, and quality
• Be self-motivated and capable of managing their own projects
• Work well both independently and as part of a team
