Job description

Do you have experience in a plant and tool environment? Have you worked with machinery such as excavators, rollers, telehandlers, dumpers, and trailers? If so, we have an opportunity to join our Fleet Hire team, based in Somerset covering Taunton and the surrounding areas.

What you'll do

You will be responsible for diagnosing and rectifying plant and tool faults, ensuring all statutory requirements are maintained.

You will also ensure the effective servicing, fault diagnosis, and repair of equipment to maintain current standards, while submitting clear, concise, and accurate reports of work carried out and time spent on tasks.

What you'll need

You need to be mechanically minded with a positive attitude towards servicing, maintaining, fault finding, and diagnostics on a variety of diesel, petrol, and electrical plant and tool hire items, both on site and in our workshop.

You will also need:

  • Relevant mechanical/electrical qualification
  • Valid driving license (a vehicle will be provided)
  • PAT testing experience
  • Ability to tow (desirable)
