Our client, a highly-regarded and Ofsted rated Outstanding private day nursery, is seeking an exceptional individual to join their dynamic team. They provide outstanding care and education for children from birth to five years, with their toddler room offering a stimulating, engaging, and safe environment where young explorers can truly thrive and develop their independence. Your New Role as Toddler Room Senior

As a permanent Toddler Room Senior, you'll be a key leader, inspiring your team and ensuring the highest standards of care and education for toddlers. Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading by example and mentoring junior staff within the toddler room.
• Overseeing the planning and implementation of a rich, stimulating, and age-appropriate curriculum for toddlers, in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), focusing on their increasing independence and curiosity.
• Ensuring the safety, well-being, and individual needs of all children in the toddler room are met, promoting positive behaviour and social skills.
• Building strong, positive relationships with parents, providing regular feedback on their child's progress, development, and key milestones.
• Maintaining accurate records and observations for each child, tracking their learning journey.
• Working collaboratively with the wider nursery team to ensure a cohesive and high-quality provision across the setting, including smooth transitions for children.
• Adhering to all nursery policies and procedures, including health and safety and safeguarding.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will be:

• Qualified to at least Level 3 Early Years Practitioner (or equivalent).
• Able to demonstrate proven experience in a senior or leadership role within an early years setting, specifically within a toddler room or with toddler age groups (typically 2-3 years).
• Equipped with an in-depth knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and its application for active toddlers.
• Able to show excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead, motivate a team, and engage effectively with young children.
• Passionate about working with toddlers and committed to their holistic development, understanding their unique energy and learning styles.
• Organised, proactive, and able to manage time effectively in a busy environment.
• Hold a valid Paediatric First Aid certificate (desirable, but training can be provided).
• Possess a sound understanding of safeguarding children.
