Job summary

Hopscotch Children’s Nurseries in Worthing is seeking a Toddler Room Leader to guide a dedicated team in a stimulating EYFS environment, lead daily room operations, and ensure outstanding care.

You’ll plan age-appropriate activities, mentor staff, build strong relationships with children and families, and uphold safeguarding and high standards across the room. The role offers flexible hours across 4-5 days, 31 days holiday, and a 50% childcare discount.

Qualifications

• Requires Early Years Level 3 qualification.
• Previous nursery leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Passion for early childhood education and child development.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the daily operations of your room, ensuring a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment for children.
• Plan and deliver fun, engaging, and age-appropriate activities aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
• Mentor and support your team, encouraging their professional development and fostering a positive team culture.
• Build meaningful relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
• Monitor and support each child’s development and well-being, creating individual learning plans as needed.
• Maintain high standards of safety, hygiene, and safeguarding.

Position: Toddler Room Leader

Location: Worthing

Salary: Up to £31,000 per year pro rata depending on hours and experience

Hours: 4-5 days per week

Holidays: 31 days (including Bank Holidays)
