Job description

Banana Moon Day Nurseries is currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Toddler Room Leader to join our team. Our nursery provides high-quality childcare from 3 months to 5 years.

As the Toddler Room Leader, you will play a crucial role in providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for our toddlers. You will be responsible for leading a team of practitioners, planning and implementing age-appropriate activities, and building strong relationships with children, parents, and staff.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Toddler room, creating a safe and stimulating environment.
  • Plan and deliver a curriculum that supports toddlers' development.
  • Observe and assess toddlers' progress, and provide feedback to parents and colleagues.
  • Supervise and support the development of room staff.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication with parents, providing regular updates on their child's progress.
  • Ensure compliance with all nursery policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent.
  • Experience working with toddlers.
  • Strong knowledge of child development for children aged 18 months to 3 years old.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Passionate about providing high-quality care and education for young children.
