Qualifications

Main Duties:
  • The following reflect the main tasks associated with this position and are not intended to be exclusive or exhaustive:
  • Overseeing permit team to ensure permit dates are met/obtained with correct details added to the system, supporting a quick turnaround/demanding workflow.
  • Administering planned and emergency street works notices/permits for various traffic management solutions, including traffic signals and road closures.
  • Liaising with Local Authorities & stakeholders to obtain authorisation, including arranging parking suspensions, bus stop suspensions, and main light switch outs.
  • Primarily managing permits/notices for our in-house TM division on the England roads network and collaborating with the in-house noticing team, focusing on our traffic management division “Freeflows”.
  • Coordinating with third parties for parking suspensions, bus stop suspensions, road closures, etc.
Knowledge requirements
  • The successful candidate should have knowledge of the following elements, some with advantageous elements:
  • Traffic management experience, particularly in producing high-spec TM plans (training will be provided).
  • Experience with NRSWA, TMA, EToN, Symology, Street Manager (training will be provided).
  • Ability to liaise and maintain good relationships with local authorities and third parties.
  • Good organisational, time management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work proactively, accurately, and methodically under pressure and to strict deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a high-turnover, fast-paced environment both as part of a team and independently, including from home.
  • Proficiency in PC use, especially Excel & Outlook.
